Crime

MAYS LANDING– An Atlantic County woman who murdered her husband, dismembered his corpse and hid his remains in several storage containers for six years lost a bid Thursday to have her conviction overturned on appeal.

Daniel Burroughs was reported missing in September 2007 when the couple lived in the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township. Loretta Boroughs then moved to Ventnor, where the remains were found in 2013. She was in the process of moving to Cape May County, possibly transporting Daniels remains for a 2nd time, when Thomas Borroughs was found.

Loretta C. Burroughs, now 65, was found guilty in 2015 and is currently serving a 55 yr prison term in the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in Clinton, NJ.
